Who this covers

This statement covers the website at samrisk.co.uk and the SAMRISK application at app.samrisk.co.uk, run by Remiam Limited. We want as many people as possible to be able to use them, including people who use a keyboard only, a screen reader, magnification or voice control, and people who are sensitive to motion.

What you should be able to do

  • zoom text to 200% without losing content, and use most pages at 400% with the content reflowed into one column;
  • move through pages, menus and forms with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline;
  • use the site with the reduced motion setting on your device: nothing moves, the 3D models are shown still and assembled, and nothing is hidden;
  • read text with strong contrast: body text on white is at least 10.6 to 1, and white on SAMRISK blue is 5.3 to 1;
  • see risk shown in words as well as colour, so a reader who cannot tell the colours apart, or a black and white print, still says "Intolerable" or "Tolerable";
  • read real app screens on the website with written captions and descriptions;
  • watch the product films, which are silent and use on-screen words rather than narration.

Known problems

We know these parts are not yet fully accessible. This list comes from our own design rules and testing, not an independent audit.

WhatWhereWhy it mattersGuideline
3D building and site modelsWebsite pages, building overview, plans in 3D, walk and fly throughThe model is drawn on a canvas. Screen readers get a short description, not the floors and labels; turning the model needs a mouse or touch1.1.1, 2.1.1
Maps and aerial imageryLand tools, the portfolio map, boundariesDrawing boundaries, measuring and placing points need a mouse or touch, and map features are not all announced. The same records can be read and edited in the lists beside the map1.1.1, 2.1.1, 2.5.7
The plan editorBuilding plansPlacing and moving items on a floor plan needs pointer dragging, with no keyboard alternative yet2.1.1, 2.5.7
Scroll scenesSome website pagesThe story steps on as you scroll. With reduced motion, or on short screens, the end state shows instead2.2.2
Moving screen toursFeature pagesThe list of screens moves on every 7 seconds while in view. Choosing a screen stops it, but there is no separate pause control yet2.2.2
Printed reportsAudit and safety case reportsReports are printed or saved to PDF from the browser, so a PDF may not have full tags for screen readers1.3.1
Uploaded documentsAny recordDocuments your company uploads are only as accessible as the files themselves1.1.1

We aim to fix the first four by 30 April 2027 and will update this list as each is fixed.

How we tested

Pages are designed to WCAG 2.2 AA from the start, checked at four screen widths, with keyboard only, with reduced motion and with JavaScript off. The most recent full test was on 23 October 2026, with automated checks and manual checks using a keyboard only and a screen reader. We have not yet had an independent audit; we will publish its date here when we do.

Reporting a problem

If something on samrisk.co.uk or in SAMRISK does not work for you, or you need information in another format such as large print, plain text or audio, write to [email protected] and tell us the page and what happened. We will reply within five working days and aim to fix it or find another way for you to do what you needed.

Enforcement

SAMRISK is run by a private company, so the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us, but the Equality Act 2010 does. If you are not happy with how we answer, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
